XOTIKOSPILIO

DESCRIPTION :

Xotikospilio is located 70km southwest of Chania and 1.5km northwest of the village of Keramoti. The beach takes its name from the small cave that lies behind the rock, with the small chapel in the recess of the rock. There are signs that mark the path leading to the beach. It would be best to leave the car high up on a platform.

It is a secluded beach that has large round pebbles and several rocks. There is no organization in the area and is only offered for isolation and diving. The scenery is so deserted, combined with the chapel on the rock, create a sense of religious despair and fear. The entrance of the cave is usually closed and access difficult for someone who wants to visit it.
