Close to the archaeological site of Akrotiri and about 8 km south of Fira lies the Red beach in Santorini. Access by car to a point (parking) and then walking (uphill-downhill) or by boat from Akrotiri.
Dark blue water and mountain views from the top red and black (because of the volcano) create a unique backdrop. The distinctive morphological character that make the Red Beach one of the most spectacular beaches in the world. The beach with red sand as the name suggests, hosts some sunbeds are nearby and coffee refreshments. The beach is friendly and nudism.
